Accra, Ghana – Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has strongly urged Ghanaians to resist the urge to retaliate against South Africans living in Ghana, despite the disturbing wave of xenophobic attacks targeting foreign nationals in South Africa. The call came during a special interview on JoyNews’ Newsfile programme on Saturday, where the minister acknowledged the pain and concern these incidents cause, particularly within the context of African unity.

The recent surge in xenophobic violence in South Africa has sent ripples across the African continent.
