Accra, Ghana – The Ghanaian Parliament is on the verge of passing a reintroduced bill criminalizing LGBTQ+ activities, with Majority Chief Whip Rockson Nelson Dafeamekpor indicating the legislative process could conclude within weeks. The South Dayi MP stated on Tuesday that the parliamentary committee tasked with reviewing the Ghanaian Family Values Bill has finalized its work and is prepared to present its report for debate and potential passage.
Committee Report Set for Presentation
Mr. Dafeamekpor announced that the bill’s report is scheduled to be laid before the House on Thursday. This presentation marks a significant step, allowing lawmakers to move forward with the legislative process.
