AngloGold Ashanti Obuasi Mine has officially commenced construction of a 1,500-seater Multi-Purpose Assembly Hall and a new main gatehouse for New Edubiase Senior High School. The project, initiated recently, is a key component of the mine’s 10-Year Socio-Economic Development Plan (SEDP) aimed at fostering sustainable community development through strategic investments in education and social infrastructure within its operational areas.

The new facility is designed to provide a modern and conducive environment for a wide range of academic, administrative, and social activities. The project is being executed by AA Engineering and Construction, a local contractor, with an expected completion timeline of 17 months.
