Dr. Daniel Fahene Acquaye, CEO of Agri-Impact Limited and Chairman of the CSIR–Crop Research Institute, is leading a delegation to the Ghana-UK Investment Summit in London from June 1-2, 2026. The summit aims to attract investment into Ghana’s agribusiness sector, moving beyond subsistence farming. Dr. Acquaye will participate in a panel discussion on positioning Ghana as an agribusiness investment hub and hold strategic meetings with potential investors.

Ghana’s Agribusiness Ambitions on Display

The Ghana-UK Investment Summit 2026 serves as a pivotal platform for Ghana to showcase its economic potential to international partners. The event convenes government officials, UK investors, development partners, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and the Ghanaian diaspora. Its primary goal is to foster strategic partnerships and stimulate investment in key sectors of the Ghanaian economy.

High-profile attendees include Ghana’s President, H.E. John Dramani Mahama, Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, and Ghana’s High Commissioner to the UK and Ireland, H.E. Sabah Zita Benson. Their presence underscores the government’s commitment to strengthening economic ties with the United Kingdom and unlocking new trade and investment opportunities.

Agri-Impact’s Role in Driving Investment

Dr. Acquaye’s leadership of the Agri-Impact delegation highlights the firm’s significant role in Ghana’s agricultural transformation. Agri-Impact Limited (AIL) is a leading agribusiness consultancy with over two decades of experience. The firm specializes in agricultural management, project development, value chain strengthening, and investment facilitation across Africa and the Caribbean.

AIL has a proven track record of working with a diverse range of stakeholders, including international universities, development agencies like the World Bank and USAID, and private sector entities. Their expertise lies in providing tailored solutions to enhance productivity, profitability, and market access for agribusinesses.

Focus on Agritech and Youth Employment

Beyond the summit, Dr. Acquaye is pursuing collaborations to bolster Ghana’s agritech capabilities. Prior to the summit, he engaged with Leipzig University’s SEPT Competence Centre in Germany to discuss potential partnerships in agritech innovation and capacity building for African agri-firms. This proactive approach signals a commitment to modernizing Ghana’s agricultural sector.

Agri-Impact is currently implementing the Harnessing Agricultural Productivity and Prosperity for Youth (HAPPY) Programme, supported by the Mastercard Foundation. This initiative has already created significant job and enterprise opportunities for over 270,000 young Ghanaians in rice, poultry, tomato, and soybean value chains. This demonstrates a tangible impact on youth employment and inclusive agricultural growth.
