Bosom Freho District Breaks Ground on Modern 24-Hour Economy Market

It seeks to achieve this by expanding commercial infrastructure, reducing unemployment rates, and strengthening local economies through various government interventions in sectors like agriculture, trade, and industrialization.

This initiative is being implemented across the country, with a focus on establishing model markets that can serve as hubs for continuous economic engagement. The Tebeso No. 2 market is one of 43 such markets planned for the Ashanti region alone, underscoring the scale of this national endeavor.

Market Construction Underway

Neckseth Construction has been contracted to build the new market, which is envisioned as a fully integrated commercial hub. The facility is meticulously planned to support uninterrupted business operations, aligning with the core principles of the 24-hour economy model.

The market’s design includes essential amenities to facilitate continuous activity. These features comprise a dedicated police post for security, a fire service station for emergency response, a women’s development bank to support female entrepreneurs, and modern sanitary facilities. Additionally, the market will offer lockable shops, providing secure and dedicated spaces for traders and businesses.

During the sod-cutting ceremony, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Bosome Freho, Mr. Charles Appiah Kubi, emphasized the importance of community cooperation with the construction team.
