Awentami Paul Afoko, a contender for the National Chairman position of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has initiated a significant series of high-level consultations with prominent party figures, including former Vice President and 2024 presidential candidate Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, former Presidents Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and John Agyekum Kufuor, and former Assin Central MP Kennedy Ogyapong. These meetings, held in the lead-up to the party’s presidential primary scheduled for January 31, 2026, also involved discussions with all five presidential aspirants, namely Dr. Bryan Acheampong, Ing.
