Tema Development Corporation (TDC Ghana Ltd) has issued a stern 30-day notice to property owners and individuals with items stored at its maintenance yard in Tema. The corporation is demanding the settlement of outstanding ground rent debts and the removal of containers and equipment from its Community 1 maintenance yard, with non-compliance leading to public auction and enforcement measures.
Urgent Notice for Property Owners and Lessees
In public notices released on May 5, 2026, TDC Ghana alerted those with containers, equipment, and other belongings at its Tema Community 1 maintenance yard. These individuals have a strict 30-day window to retrieve their property.
Failure to remove these items within the specified period will result in them being disposed of through a public auction. TDC Ghana emphasized that no further notice will be given before this action is taken.
Ground Rent Arrears Under Scrutiny
Beyond the maintenance yard issue, TDC Ghana is also intensifying efforts to recover unpaid ground rents. The corporation stated that despite repeated reminders, many lessees, property owners, and occupiers within the Tema Acquisition Area have not settled their financial obligations.
These defaulters have also been given a 30-day deadline to clear all their outstanding arrears. TDC Ghana warned that an enforcement exercise is imminent to recover these debts.
