NDC Rebuts Allegations of Cocoa Fund Diversion for Presidential Aircraft

The governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) has vehemently denied accusations that state resources intended for cocoa farmers are being diverted to purchase presidential aircraft. The party, speaking in Accra, characterized the claims as false and part of a deliberate misinformation campaign orchestrated by the opposition.

Opposition’s Allegation

The accusation originated from Frank Annoh-Dompreh, the Member of Parliament for Nsawam-Adoagyiri. While touring cocoa-growing regions, he reportedly alleged that the government was using funds meant for cocoa farmers to finance the acquisition of four jets for the President.
