Ernest Chemists Invests GH₵200,000 in Maternal and Neonatal Healthcare Support

Ernest Chemists Limited has launched a significant GH₵200,000 medical bill intervention aimed at alleviating financial burdens for approximately 100 mothers receiving healthcare across selected facilities nationwide. This initiative, announced in conjunction with Mother’s Day celebrations, also includes vital donations of baby incubators to enhance neonatal care.

Broader Healthcare Support Initiative

The extensive support program targets women facing financial difficulties in accessing essential medical services. Beneficiary hospitals include the 37 Military Hospital, Ridge Hospital, LEKMA Hospital, Tema General Hospital, Maamobi General Hospital, Cape Coast Teaching Hospital, Mother and Child Hospital in Kasoa, and the University Hospital in Legon.

This intervention directly addresses the critical need for financial relief for mothers undergoing medical treatment, aiming to reduce stress and improve health outcomes during a crucial period.

Enhancing Neonatal Care Infrastructure

Beyond direct financial aid, Ernest Chemists is bolstering neonatal healthcare infrastructure with the donation of baby incubators. These crucial pieces of equipment will be supplied to the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital and the Tamale Teaching Hospital.

The incubators are vital for the survival and proper development of newborn babies requiring intensive care, addressing a pressing need in these facilities. This move underscores a commitment to improving the chances of survival for the most vulnerable infants.

Company’s Commitment to Community and Milestones

Adjoa Akyema Sampong, CEO of Ernest Chemists Limited, stated that the initiative reflects the company’s deep-seated commitment to community service and supporting vulnerable populations, particularly women and children.
