The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Adaklu in the Volta Region, Jerry Yao Ameko, lauded Consolidated Bank Ghana Ltd (CBG) for a recent free health screening and financial literacy initiative aimed at women in the district, held on Saturday, May 9th. The program, timed to coincide with Mother’s Day celebrations, provided crucial health checks and financial education to residents.
Timely Intervention for Women’s Health
Mr. Ameko highlighted the significance of the outreach, noting that many women may be unaware of underlying health conditions. He expressed gratitude for CBG’s presence, emphasizing the importance of preventive healthcare in detecting issues like hypertension, diabetes, and high cholesterol, which can lead to preventable deaths.
