NPP Dismisses Fears of Early Manifesto Release Impacting 2028 Elections

Accra, Ghana – Nana Akomea, a former Member of Parliament for Okaikwei South, has asserted that the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) early unveiling of its policies and flagbearer for the 2028 general elections poses no threat to the incumbent National Democratic Congress (NDC). Speaking on Joy News’ PM Express on Tuesday, Akomea argued that a government focused on delivering on its promises has little to fear from opposition manifestos.

Focus on Governance, Not Opposition Tactics

The discussion centered on concerns that releasing policy proposals significantly ahead of an election cycle might provide opponents with ample time to dissect and counter them. However, Akomea countered this by emphasizing the primary responsibility of any governing party.
