The Asantewaa Empowerment Initiative, in collaboration with the Shine Above Abuse Conference, launched a significant awareness campaign in the Juaben Municipality of the Ashanti region this week. The campaign aims to protect young people from the escalating threats of drug abuse and teenage pregnancy by educating and empowering them to make informed life choices.

The initiative addresses a pressing issue facing Ghana’s youth. Substance abuse and teenage pregnancies are identified as major social vices that jeopardize the health, education, and future prospects of adolescents. These issues are often exacerbated by peer pressure, social media influences, and exposure to harmful lifestyles, making targeted educational interventions crucial.
