He emphasized that the public sector alone cannot accommodate the vast number of young individuals seeking employment, during the NDC’s Thank You Tour in Tolon. This statement highlights a critical issue demanding innovative solutions beyond traditional recruitment.
Shifting Focus from Public Sector Recruitment
Mr. Asiedu Nketia articulated that a sustainable approach to job creation necessitates a greater emphasis on skills development and vocational training. He cautioned against an over-reliance on recruitment into state institutions like the Police Service, Army, Fire Service, Immigration, and Customs.
