Lawra, Ghana – Construction of a new GH¢11 million multipurpose dining hall complex at Birifoh Senior High School is progressing at an exceptional pace, with the contractor, Solodom Construction Limited, assuring an early completion. The project, which officially broke ground just one month ago, is already an estimated 20% complete, significantly ahead of its 12-month contractual timeline. This development was highlighted by the Member of Parliament for the Lawra Constituency, Bede A. Ziedeng, who expressed immense satisfaction with the contractor’s work rate.
Addressing Groundbreaking Challenges
The ambitious project, designed to accommodate 2,500 students and featuring a modern attached kitchen, aims to elevate Birifoh SHS to the standard of a fully equipped senior high institution. However, the initial stages of construction encountered significant topographical challenges. The site presented a foundation of solid rock, necessitating specialized equipment and techniques to prepare the ground for construction.
