Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin South, Rev. John Ntim Fordjour, voiced significant concerns on Saturday, stating that amendments made to the Human Sexual Rights and Family Values Bill could render it difficult to enforce if passed into law. His remarks, made during a special interview on JoyNews’ Newsfile, suggest the revised legislation may not effectively address LGBTQ+ activities as originally intended.

Rev. Ntim Fordjour argued that the original draft of the bill contained stronger provisions designed for robust enforcement. He specifically pointed to several changes introduced during Parliament’s consideration of the bill, including the removal of certain clauses and the inclusion of new exemptions, which he believes have diluted its effectiveness.
