Nine individuals sustained various injuries following a head-on collision between a Toyota Sienta and a Tata Xenon pickup truck on Tuesday near Appetite at Sefwi Awaso, within the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Municipality of the Western North Region. The accident occurred when the driver of the Toyota Sienta allegedly attempted an unsafe overtake, leading to the crash with an oncoming vehicle.

According to a police report, the incident involved a Toyota Sienta, registration number AS 4009-25, driven by Manu Augustine, 39. He was traveling from Sefwi Dwenase towards Bibiani with six passengers. While navigating a section of the road near Appetite, Augustine reportedly attempted to overtake another vehicle.
In the process of this maneuver, his Sienta collided head-on with a Tata Xenon pickup, registration number GT 2961-25. The pickup was being driven by Augustine Debrah, also 39, and carried two passengers: Tejinder Singh, 35, an Indian national, and Evans Badu, 26.
Injuries and Response
All nine occupants of both vehicles, including both drivers, suffered injuries of varying severity. Emergency services swiftly transported the injured parties to the Green Shield Hospital located in Sefwi Bekwai for immediate medical attention and treatment.
The Ghana Police Service has since impounded both vehicles involved in the collision.
