Police in Ghana’s Western Region have launched a manhunt for Sule Anas, an Arabic teacher, who is wanted for the alleged defilement of two minors. Sule Anas allegedly exploited his position as a weekend Arabic teacher, employed by local leaders to instruct children, to gain trust.
The police report indicates that Anas enticed the young victims into a storeroom within the mosque. He reportedly promised them spiritual cleansing, a pretext used to commit the alleged acts of sodomy and defilement.

The Gender Court in Sekondi officially issued the arrest warrant for Sule Anas on Wednesday, May 20, 2026. The suspect is described as being fair in complexion and approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall.
The Western Regional Police Command is actively seeking public assistance to apprehend Anas. They have urged anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to contact the Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit of the Western Region, the nearest police station, or dial 191 or 112.
