Prominent Ghanaian lawyer Ace Anan Ankomah has called on African nations to transition from passive consumers to active creators of artificial intelligence (AI) systems, warning of the continent’s potential to be left behind in the emerging AI revolution. Ankomah delivered this critical message during his 2026 Commencement Address at SOS-Hermann Gmeiner International College (SOS-HGIC) in Tema on Saturday.
