As Ghana approaches its 70th anniversary of independence, the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has issued a powerful call to action for the nation’s youth, urging them to reject corruption, environmental degradation, and unethical leadership. Speaking at the Ghana Business Leaders Conclave hosted by the University of Professional Studies, Accra, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II implored students and young professionals to build their success on a foundation of ethics, responsibility, and service, rather than solely on material gains or unexamined power.
Preparing for Responsibility, Not Just Employment
The Asantehene emphasized that education and career preparation are not merely about securing employment but about cultivating a sense of responsibility. He posited that future leadership roles in Ghana will demand more than just academic qualifications; they will require strong moral character.
