Accra, Ghana – In a significant move to bolster national sporting aspirations, betPawa has committed GHS 3.5 million (over $300,000 USD) to support the Ghana Football Association (GFA). This substantial investment, announced recently, aims to aid the preparation and participation of both the men’s Black Stars and the women’s Black Queens in their upcoming major international tournaments: the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers and the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), respectively.

Renewed Partnership for National Teams

The renewed sponsorship deal marks a continuation of betPawa’s engagement with Ghanaian football. The funds are earmarked to provide crucial resources for the national teams as they embark on their respective campaigns. This support is expected to cover various aspects of preparation, including training, logistics, and player welfare.

Borah Omary Ndanyungu, Head of Local Marketing and CSR at betPawa, emphasized the symbolic importance of football in Ghana. “Football is one of Ghana’s greatest unifiers,” Ndanyungu stated at the partnership announcement ceremony. “Every time the Black Stars or Black Queens step onto the pitch, millions of dreams travel with them.”
