CBG Extends Free Health Outreach to Women in Adaklu

Consolidated Bank Ghana Ltd (CBG) reaffirmed its commitment to community development and preventive healthcare by organizing a large-scale free health screening for women in the Adaklu District of the Volta Region on Saturday, May 9. The outreach, held at the Adaklu Waya Evangelical Presbyterian Church, aimed to address the health and financial well-being of residents, particularly women, coinciding with Mother’s Day celebrations.

The health screening provided free checks for conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, and cholesterol-related illnesses. Beneficiaries also received essential medical counseling and, when necessary, medication. Hundreds of women and residents from across the district attended the event, highlighting a significant need for accessible healthcare services in the area.

Addressing Unmet Health Needs

Dr. Naomi Wolali Kwetey, Managing Director of CBG, explained that the initiative is part of the bank’s corporate social responsibility agenda. She noted that many working women often neglect their health due to busy schedules and limited access to regular check-ups.
