A recent Deloitte survey reveals that over half of Gen Z (55%) and millennials (52%) are delaying significant life decisions, including starting families, pursuing higher education, or launching businesses, primarily due to financial pressures. This trend, impacting major life choices, was identified in Deloitte’s 2026 Gen Z and Millennial Survey, which surveyed over 22,000 individuals globally.
Cost of Living Dominates Concerns
For the fifth consecutive year, the soaring cost of living has emerged as the paramount concern for both Gen Z and millennial respondents. This financial anxiety overshadows other significant societal and workplace issues for these demographics.
