The special awards and honours ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, June 6, 2026, at the Alisa Hotel in Accra, coinciding with World Press Freedom Day celebrations.
Recognizing Champions of Press Freedom
Samson Lardy Anyenini, a prominent figure in Ghanaian media, will be honoured alongside distinguished diplomat and media advocate Alhaji Abdul-Rahman Haruna Atta. A posthumous award will be presented to the late Justice Kwame Afreh, a former Justice of the Supreme Court. These individuals are being celebrated for their profound impact on promoting, protecting, and advancing press freedom within the nation.
