The Member of Parliament for Effia, Isaac Boamah-Nyarko, has publicly accused the current government of severe underfunding of key ministries and state agencies, asserting that numerous public institutions are critically hampered in their operations due to prolonged delays in the release of allocated funds. This situation, he claims, paints a picture of governmental disconnect from the economic realities faced by the populace.
Funding Delays Cripple Ministries
Mr. Boamah-Nyarko voiced his concerns on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen show, highlighting that despite government assurances of processed budgetary allocations and commitment authorisations, many ministries remain financially constrained. He directly questioned the administration’s economic management, suggesting a detachment from the everyday struggles of Ghanaians.
