Greater Accra Minister Praises BECE Conduct, Revives Ga Language Compulsory Debate

Greater Accra Regional Minister, Linda Ocloo, expressed strong satisfaction with the smooth conduct of the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) on its opening day, May 4th, following an extensive tour of selected examination centres across the region. Accompanied by Accra Mayor Michael Allotey and Ga Mantse Nii Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, the minister observed a well-organized environment and commendable behaviour from both candidates and invigilators.

Smooth Examination Conduct Observed

During visits to six schools in Accra, Minister Ocloo described the examination exercise as highly organized. She noted that candidates appeared well-prepared and demonstrated enthusiasm for the tests. The minister highlighted the impressive attendance rate, with all registered candidates present at the monitored centres. This high turnout, she stated, signifies the students’ readiness and commitment to achieving success for their families and the nation.

Minister Ocloo further elaborated that logistical concerns previously raised had been effectively addressed prior to the commencement of the exams. Months of meticulous planning, involving collaboration with the Regional Director of Education, ensured that all necessary arrangements were in place for a seamless examination process.
