The women’s wing of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Suame Constituency has formally accused the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Frank Owusu Ansah, of nepotism and neglecting dedicated party members. The wing is appealing to the NDC’s regional and national leadership to address these grievances, which they claim are undermining grassroots support and party morale. The accusations surfaced during a press conference held recently in Suame.
Party Grievances Surface
Constituency Women Organiser Asmawu Bello, known as Empress, articulated the wing’s concerns, alleging that opportunities, positions, and contracts have been consistently channeled to individuals outside the party, including friends and family members of the MCE. This alleged favoritism, she stated, has been ongoing since Mr. Owusu Ansah assumed office.
