NHIA Suspends Three Pharmacies Over Suspected Fraudulent Claims

The National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) has suspended three pharmacies – DELDEM PHARMA LIMITED, PARAMEDICA PHARMACY, and DESH CHEMIST – from the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) effective May 14. The suspension follows a routine claims verification exercise that uncovered suspected fraudulent claims and irregular service transactions, raising concerns about abuse of the NHIS Provider Service Agreement.
