Accra, Ghana – Ernest Henry Norgbey, Chairperson of Parliament’s Youth and Sports Committee, has strongly advocated for the full prosecution of all individuals implicated in alleged financial irregularities surrounding the 2023 African Games. Speaking on Joy FM’s Top Story on Tuesday, May 26, Norgbey emphasized that the matter must be heard in court, rejecting any possibility of plea bargaining.
Calls for Uncompromised Legal Process
Norgbey stated that the committee is not surprised by the emerging reports of financial impropriety. He stressed that the current priority is to allow the legal system to address the allegations thoroughly and ensure accountability.
