A Life of Service Celebrated

The anniversary celebration recognized Rev. Attu’s extensive contributions, highlighting his journey since his commissioning in 1996 and ordination in 1998. Mr. Afriyie-Ankrah described the occasion as a “testimony of obedience to divine calling, sacrifice, perseverance, and impact on lives, communities, and generations.” He emphasized that Rev. Attu’s ministry extended far beyond pastoral duties, encompassing significant involvement in community development, educational support, and care for vulnerable populations.

“Faith must be lived, not only professed,” Mr. Afriyie-Ankrah stated, underscoring Rev. Attu’s embodiment of service to humanity, commitment to development, integrity, and leadership rooted in Christian values. His efforts in promoting communal unity and development, notably through initiatives like the Kafakale Festival, were specifically praised.

The event underscored the indispensable role of the Church in Ghana’s national development. Mr. Afriyie-Ankrah described faith-based institutions as vital centers for moral formation, social cohesion, and community advancement. He acknowledged the Evangelical Presbyterian Church’s significant contributions to education, healthcare, and peacebuilding across the nation.

The Presidential Envoy reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to strengthening collaboration with faith-based organizations. “At a time when the world faces increasing uncertainty, the need for value-driven leadership has never been more critical,” he remarked. Inspiration for Future Leaders

Mr. Afriyie-Ankrah urged the youth to draw inspiration from Rev. Attu’s exemplary life, characterized by faith, humility, and dedicated service. He stressed that Ghana’s future prosperity hinges on leaders guided by purpose and integrity, echoing President Mahama’s assurance of continued government partnership with religious bodies to foster peace, strengthen families, and advance national development.

Looking Ahead

The commendation of Rev. Attu serves as a reminder of the profound impact dedicated individuals within faith communities can have on societal progress. As Ghana navigates its development path, the emphasis on value-driven leadership and the continued collaboration between the government and religious institutions will be crucial.
