Veteran Politician Warns Appointees Against Arrogance and 'Wickedness'

Former Member of Parliament for Adentan, Kojo Adu Asare, issued a stern warning to current government appointees and chief executives on Friday, May 15, 2026, cautioning them against arrogance and what he termed ‘wickedness’ in public office. Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosiisen, the senior National Democratic Congress (NDC) figure highlighted growing internal party friction, suggesting it is currently masked by the opposition New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) perceived unpopularity.

Disrespect and Forgotten Roots

Mr. Adu Asare expressed particular dismay at the behavior of younger officials who, he believes, have lost touch with their origins and the party elders who supported their rise. He recounted seeing many of these individuals develop from grassroots activists to their current positions of power.
