World Vision and Interplast Partnership Brings Lifeline of Clean Water to Ahafo Communities

Over 1,500 residents and 800 schoolchildren in the Asutifi North District of Ghana’s Ahafo Region are now accessing safe and reliable drinking water, thanks to a collaborative effort by World Vision Ghana and Interplast Limited. The intervention, part of the Ahafo Regional Integrated WASH Programme (ARIWP), was completed recently, addressing long-standing challenges with contaminated and scarce water sources in communities like Kwakuri and Akorsahkrom.

Transforming Daily Life Through Clean Water

For years, residents of Kwakuri and Akorsahkrom faced arduous daily routines to secure water, often from distant and unsafe streams. The new water systems, facilitated by a partnership agreement where Interplast supplied crucial high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipes, have dramatically altered this reality.
