Johnson Asiedu Nketia, the National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has revealed that he personally recommended key ministerial appointments for Haruna Iddrisu and Mohammed Muntaka Mubarak to President John Dramani Mahama following the party’s victory in the 2024 general elections. This strategic move, disclosed in Tamale on Friday, May 22, aimed to foster party unity, acknowledge experienced members, and enhance governmental cohesion.
Context of Post-Election Strategy
The recommendations were not spontaneous but part of a deliberate strategy to consolidate the NDC’s electoral win. Asiedu Nketia emphasized the importance of integrating influential party figures into the government to ensure effective governance and internal harmony.
