Advisers to the UK government are calling for the introduction of maximum temperature limits for workplaces, a measure they deem crucial to protect citizens as increasingly severe heatwaves, driven by climate change, become a growing threat. The Climate Change Committee (CCC), a key government advisor, also highlighted the urgent need to equip schools and hospitals with cooling technologies like air conditioning, identifying this as a top governmental priority.
